Meet our Cognition Education Group leadership team
Chief Executive Officer
Tina joined Cognition Education Group in 2016 having previously completed successful tenures as CEO of Aspire-Education, Managing Director at Nord Anglia Education PLC and the founder of STEMtech Education. Her extensive track record spans 30 years, growing award-winning education, professional services, EdTech and digital learning organisations across Europe, the Middle East, Australasia and Asia. Under her stewardship, the company has seen rapid expansion into the UK, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Chief Financial Officer
Sean joined as the Cognition Education Group CFO following his role as Country and Finance Director of Australia. He previously held positions within the Group including Financial Controller and Commercial Manager. Sean brings extensive experience in the international and national education sector, as well as auditing, analysis, management accounting and acquisitions.
Group Revenue Officer
Rachel joined Cognition Education Group in 2016 and leads our Business Development team, together with the Group’s global marketing function and our Begin Bright business. Rachel previously held senior roles in both the corporate and charitable sectors, providing marketing, sponsorship, communications and public relations expertise. Formerly a Marketing and Development Director for one of New Zealand’s largest largest multi-arts event, she also spent several years in a number of marketing roles within New Zealand Post Group and the technology and retail industries.
Dr Arran Hamilton
Group Director, Education
Arran joined Cognition Education Group in 2017 to lead the development and transition of our Visible LearningPlus business before taking up a position as Group Director, Strategy and more recently as Group Director, Education. He is an accomplished education-sector senior leader and researcher with more than 15 years’ experience working in some of the world’s top educational consultancies. He previously held senior positions at Cambridge Assessment, Nord Anglia Education, Education Development Trust (formerly CfBT) and the British Council. Arran is now based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Director, People and Organisational Development
Stacey joined our business in 2018 and is our global leader for all people-related matters. As an experienced generalist practitioner, Stacey has worked in senior and executive roles in the People & Culture space, spanning education, medical, government and insurance industries. Stacey is focused on creating and supporting a highly skilled and dedicated workforce and ensuring we continue to challenge ourselves to deliver outstanding outcomes for our clients by investing in our people and culture.
Meet our Cognition Education UK management team
Managing Director, Cognition Education EMEA
Gavin joined Cognition Education UK in 2020 after a career with the British Council. He brings extensive experience of leading successful education businesses in teaching, assessment, and contract delivery, as well as consultancy in education marketing, transnational education and curriculum reform. Gavin now based in the UK leading our EMEA team, having previously worked in the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, China, Korea, Oman, and Japan.
Director of Programmes, Cognition Education EMEA
Clare joined Cognition Education UK in January 2021 after a 20-year career with the British Council, having worked in the Middle East and East Africa. She brings a wealth of experience in successfully leading education programmes for both the private and public sectors and is now based in the UK leading our programmes portfolio in EMEA.
Programme Manager, Transition to Teach
Rebecca joined Cognition Education in October 2016, having worked in sales recruitment and on multiple projects within the education sector. She brings experience in successfully delivering education projects in the UK and is now the Programme Manager of Transition to Teach (T2T); a teacher recruitment and retention programme for career changers. With Rebecca’s input, the T2T programme over-achieved against key recruitment targets and continues to support career changers with the challenges they face as they retrain to teach.
Finance Operations Manager
Airam joined Cognition Education in 2020 after spending six years as Head of Finance & Operations in the international private education sector in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Her experience of the UK public and private sectors includes working on Ministry of Justice and government contracts, as well as in Further Education. Since taking up post, Airam has used her wealth of experience in different education settings to lead improvements to our financial operations, including streamlining processes in EMEA.
